Hey everyone, long time no post… Sorry for the lack of skincare content. Starting the moving process here. So a quick post to help keep things relevant!
Here is a little information on toners. What is it and what is it for? Is an astringent the same thing? Do I need one? I get these questions and more all the time.
Toners first of all are usually made with humectants to help bind moisture to the skin. Their main use is to help rebalance the skins pH after cleansing.
Astringents on the other hand tend to be more alcohol based and can cause drying in the skin. Most astringents and marketed towards an oilier acneic skin type.
Now to answer the final question, do you need a toner in your skin care routine? It really depends on whether or not your chosen skin care line has a toner available or not. If your line has a cleanser but no toner, don’t worry. That just means that the cleanser is already pH balanced. If one is available, I recommend using it in conjunction with the cleanser.
Sorry this post took so long to get up. Moving is a long arduous process =_=
Here is a quick photo to hopefully make up for my lack of posting >__<
